About

I have been adventurer for nearly my entire life. I started this blog in 2013 while studying at Washington University in St. Louis. Now, I live in Barcelona and am pursuing my MBA at IESE Business School. So far I have been to all 50 US states, 59 countries and all 7 continents. My life’s goal is to visit every country in the world and every US National Park Service site.

This blog serves two purposes: 1. To catalogue my travel stories in detail for my personal recollection because memories fade. 2. To share those stories with friends, family, and whoever happens to find this blog.

My style of travel is to keep exploring until I drop. I try to enjoy every minute of traveling and dislike “relaxation time” or “days off”. I feel that, because my time is limited, I try to jam pack in as much as possible.  This does mean that my depth of understanding of a place can be limited. However, I try counter that by trying to  dig deep into the culture using my anthropological background through research and through conversations with locals on the ground.

One way I plan things is through lists. By creating tangible goals, I am able to budget my time and pace accordingly. Certainly, lists are only as good as the person/group who creates them, but generally they provide a good starting point for exploring.

Thank you so much for reading!

  1. Hi Bryce- I am Dick Flannery’s brother, and Ann and Dick told me about your adventures in/around Philadelphia. Our San Diego Hash House Harriers run in Red dresses around Christmas…

I am also a Serendipitous Adventurer; alright, I WAS one 20 years ago. Would like to hear more about your upcoming plans and see if I could help with any European stops for this summer.

I am headed to Mother Russia on April 17 and then to Estonia and Latvia. Hope I don’t get caught in any “Uprisings” over there this Spring… Drop me an e mail and we’ll arrange a call. Regards, John

  2. Hey Bryce, my name is Chris Corbaz, Managing Editor at The Travel Ledger. Do you have an email we can contact you at? Thanks!

  3. “Hi, Bryce. My name is Rob Torres of Readers Magnet (www.readermagnet/services).

Your book “The Big Trip” was handpicked and highly recommended by our professional in-house researchers because of its great potential.

We would like to feature your book in the upcoming MIAMI BOOK EXHIBIT this November. This is a very rare opportunity for you to participate in this event and get your book exposed to the right people who could help you become a successful author. Please call me @ (619) 354-2643 ext. 1886 and let’s talk about the details.

    Thanks,

    Rob
